Mr. Olukayode Pitan, the Managing Director, Bank of Industry, (BOI) the largest development financial institution in Nigeria, is a renowned banking and corporate executive with over 25 years of experience.
He started his banking career at Citibank Nigeria in 1986. Before his appointment as Managing Director, Bank of Industry, (BOI), Pitan was the MD/CEO of Caroline Properties Ltd. and Director of Excel E&P Ltd.
Under his leadership, BOI has supported 4,908 small and medium-sized enterprises and large enterprises across the country with N529.4 billion in loan disbursements. Other executed programmes are Youth Entrepreneurship Support Programme, Graduate Entrepreneurship Fund and the training of 14,000 youths in entrepreneurship and other business-management modules, plus the disbursement of N1.8 billion to 726 beneficiaries.
Pitan has led BOI into working with the vision of President Buhari’s government to implement various social-intervention programmes where N29 billion has been dis-bursed to 1,550,000 beneficiaries nationwide under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme and N15.34 billion to 199,989 beneficiaries under the N-Power Programme.
