BWARI COMMUNITY RECEIVES COVID-19 PALLIATIVES

As the world continues to recover from COVID-19 pandemic, Nigerians in Diaspora have demonstrated more commitment to support various communities across the country. In a symbolic gesture of humanity to Igu community, Bwari, FCT, Abuja; MrsIfeomaAbam donated variety of items towards ameliorating the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the community.

Receiving the donation in his Palace, Chief Tanzako Solomon Igu, the District Head commended MrsAbam, and said the items will go a long way in cushioning the suffering that they have been experiencing since the pandemic.

He further lamented that since the outbreak of the virus, the villages have suffered untold hardship as the means of livelihood of the community members have been greatly hampered.

The donor, Mrs. Abam, a passionate and caring humanitarian, pointed out that the choice of the village is based on its remoteness from the city centre, and that she usually intervenes in hard-to-reach communities with relief materials as her own way of serving humanity.

“Although this may be like a drop in the ocean, it will at least boost their morale that they are thought of at a time like this”, Mrs. Abam said.

Mrs. Abam who was represented by Chief Auta said that she will continue to have the interest of the community in mind and will extend any support within her means.
