Barr. Sharon Olive Ikeazor, the Honourable Minister of State for Environment, is a social activist, a seasoned politician, and a management consultant with over 30 years of experience as a Solicitor and Business Development Consultant.
Her legal experience spans counsel positions at a number of national and international banks; including the Nigerian Merchant Bank, Nerderlansce Middenstand Bank, Midas Merchant Bank, as well as multinational corporations -Shell Petroleum and Fluor Daniel Nigeria Ltd, (a subsidiary of the Fluor Stat Corporation, USA).
Until her appointment as Minister of State for Environment, Ikeazor was the Executive Secretary Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD). Tasked with steering the organisation towards its mandate of sustainable welfare fulfillment for pensioners, Ikeazor, at the end of her short stint, left indelible managerial footprints at PTAD, having restored dignity to Nigerian pensioners which earned her the nickname “Mama Pension”.
Since assuming office as Minister of State for Environment, she has assiduously engaged stakeholders towards finding lasting solutions to environmental challenges that confront Nigeria.
